A Hybrid Multi-Criteria-Decision-Making Aggregation Method and Geographic Information System for Selecting Optimal Solar Power Plants in Iran

Policy-makers should focus on solar energy due to the increasing demand and adverse consequences such as global warming. Conflicting criteria influence choosing most desirable place construct a Solar Power Plant (SPP). Researchers have popularized multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) methods because of potential. Although simultaneous use several increases robustness accuracy results, existing integrate MCDM mainly consider same weight for all utilize alternatives ranking final comparison. This paper presents hybrid framework determine best location SPPs in Iran using set extracted from literature expert opinions. An initial list is prepared evaluated GIS software terms criteria. Decision-makers prioritized identified methods, including SWARA different (TOPSIS, TODIM, WASPAS, COPRAS, ARAS, MULTIMOORA). Finally, CCSD method aggregates results identifies location. Results highly correlate with previous demonstrate proposed approach its capability overcome limitations methods.
